How to Accept the Minecraft EULA on Your Server

· 1 min read

Set eula=true in eula.txt and start the server again. Every Java Edition server stops right after launch until you do, with this line in the console:

You need to agree to the EULA in order to run the server. Go to eula.txt for more info.

Accept it in the panel

  1. Open your server in the Crunchy.Host panel.
  2. In Files, open eula.txt in /home/container. If it isn't there, start the server once to create it, or create it yourself.
  3. Change the line to eula=true and save.
  4. Start the server from Console.

Still asking? The line must be exactly eula=true, and the file must sit next to the server jar, not in a subfolder.

What you agree to

The EULA is Mojang's license for the game. For a private or community server it changes nothing in practice. If you plan to charge players for anything, read the Minecraft Usage Guidelines first: they limit what you can sell.
